Settings
Where airZ Controller is set up for your studio: its output, licence, connections and the other systems it works with.
Open it with the gear at the top right of the window. Settings lists its sections on the left, in groups, and opens on Output.
Some sections show only with a plan or a licence; a section your plan does not include says what it needs.

Saving changes
Output, Audio and Video keep your changes when you select Apply at the bottom; Cancel leaves without them. Other sections keep a change as you make it, or have a save button of their own, such as Save MOS Settings.
Output
| Setting | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Resolution | The program's size: 720p, 1080p, 1440p or 4K. |
| Frame Rate | 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 frames a second. 25 and 50 for PAL countries, 30 and 60 for NTSC. |
A change of resolution or frame rate applies after you restart airZ Controller: see Program outputs.
Run Wizard under Auto-Configure suggests settings for this computer. The encoder settings below are for streaming and recording: see the streaming manual.
Pair with another controller
Paired controllers can send each other templates, with the Send to another controller button on a template's details, and bulletins from an XML import. Databases lists:
| List | Holds |
|---|---|
| PAIRED | Controllers this one can send to. |
| FOUND, NOT YET PAIRED | airZ Controllers found on your studio network. |
| ALLOWED TO SEND TO THIS CONTROLLER | Controllers that may send to this one. |
To pair:
- Select Scan this network, or Add by address for a controller that is not found.
- Select Pair beside it.
- Sign in with an admin or graphics account of that controller, from its Rundown API settings. The password is used once and never stored.
The other controller's rundown server must be on, and open to your network. Removing a controller, or no longer accepting one, asks first.
Back up and restore
Under BACK UP THIS CONTROLLER, in Databases:
- Back up to a file… saves this controller's set-up to an
.airzbackupfile. Keep it safe: it can hold sensitive settings. - Restore from a file… replaces what is here with a backup, after asking. A copy of the current state is kept first. Restart airZ Controller to load it.
