Welcome to airZStudio ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website (airzstudio.com) and use our desktop application and services (collectively, the "Services"), in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.
Information We Collect
- Account Data: When you register for an account, we collect personal information such as your name, email address, and authentication credentials.
- Billing Information: If you subscribe to a paid tier, our third-party payment processors collect billing details. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
- Usage & Telemetry Data: We automatically collect analytics regarding how you interact with our Services, including crash reports to help us stabilize and improve the platform.
- Cloud Assets: If you utilize our cloud synchronization or storage features for playlists, widgets, or overlays, we store these assets securely.
- Streaming Data: We do not actively monitor, record, or store your live audio/video feeds on our servers unless you explicitly utilize an airZStudio cloud-recording feature. Local multitrack recording files remain securely on your local machine.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Under the GDPR, we process your personal data under the following legal bases: Consent (when you explicitly agree, such as for marketing or non-essential cookies), Contractual Necessity (to provide the services you requested, such as account management), and Legitimate Interest (to ensure platform security and improve software performance).
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies to enable core platform functionality, manage user sessions, and gather high-level analytics to improve our ecosystem. You have the right to manage or withdraw your cookie consent at any time via your browser settings or our website's consent banner.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain our Services.
- To process transactions and send related billing notices.
- To provide customer support and troubleshoot crashes.
- To analyze usage trends and improve software architecture.
Data Retention & Sharing
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted third-party Service Providers (e.g., Firebase for authentication, Stripe for payments) who are bound by strict data processing agreements.
YouTube API Services
airZStudio uses YouTube API Services to let you go live to your own YouTube channel, manage that live broadcast, and monitor your live chat directly inside the app. airZStudio's use of information received from YouTube API Services adheres to the YouTube API Services Developer Policies. By connecting your account, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.
- Authorization: Connecting your channel uses Google OAuth 2.0. Google presents a consent screen listing the exact permissions before you approve, and then returns an authorization token to the app. This token lets airZStudio manage your YouTube live streaming on your behalf while you are connected.
- What airZStudio does with YouTube API Services: Once connected, and only in response to your actions in the app, airZStudio may:
- Create, configure, and schedule live broadcasts on your channel, using the title, description, and visibility (public, unlisted, or private) that you choose.
- Create the live stream ingestion endpoint and retrieve the RTMP server URL and stream key so the app can send your video to YouTube.
- Bind the stream to the broadcast and transition the broadcast state (for example, to start, go live, or end the stream).
- Read the status of your active broadcast and its concurrent viewer count.
- Read your live chat — including chat messages, Super Chats, polls, and the display name and profile image of the people who posted them — so you can moderate messages and feature them on air.
- Data we access and how we store it: The authorization token, stream key, broadcast details, and live chat content are used solely on your local machine to provide the features above. The authorization token and stream key are stored securely in your operating system's encrypted credential store (Apple Keychain on macOS, the Windows Credential Store on Windows). We do not transmit your YouTube authorization token, stream key, or channel data to airZStudio servers, we do not sell or share YouTube user data with any third party, and we do not use it for advertising.
- Data retention & deletion: Because YouTube data is processed on your device and is not stored on our servers, disconnecting your account or signing out of airZStudio removes the stored authorization token and stream key from your machine. Any live chat content shown in the app remains local to your device.
- Revoking Access: You can revoke airZStudio's access to your Google and YouTube account at any time from your Google Account security settings at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Revoking access immediately stops any further API access by the app.
Your Data Rights
Under the GDPR, you possess absolute rights regarding your data. You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Request the total deletion of your personal data from our servers.
- Portability: Request a digital export of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, or to lodge a complaint, please contact us directly at support@airzstudio.com.
